Our initial season of Wednesdays @ One events concludes December 9 at the Baker Community Center, when St. Charles History Museum Executive Director, Lindsay Judd, examines the devastating 1918 Influenza epidemic that wreaked havoc on the world for over a year. Lindsay’s presentation explores the beginnings of the epidemic, how it evolved throughout 1918, and how it affected daily life across the country. During this presentation, you will also learn how St. Charles navigated the influenza epidemic, and parallels between then and now as we currently fight COVID-19.
Due to public health restrictions, we can only accommodate 25 guests for this free program. All current IDPH guidelines will be observed.
